You guys all know that this is not the type of book I normally read, but I’m so glad I did! This is fantastic and fast-paced, and nicely written, and I actually want a prequel and a sequel!
Letitia Hawking reads the veil between life and death. She brings closure to grief-stricken war widows and mourning families. She can’t be surprised by the death or she gets pulled into it herself, so she has to be careful about things. Of course, she’s in LA, so why would people try to respect that?
When a little girl is being haunted by something that doesn’t let her sleep at night, Leticia tries to avoid the case, recognizing what it could mean for her! She ends up getting involved, not because she’s low-key falling for the girl’s uncle, but after she realizes she can’t leave the girl like that.
