The Carnival of Ash by Tom Beckerlegge is an adult literary alternative history novel. I can also see that the reviews on Goodreads put it at around 3.18 stars. Ignore those reviews. They know nothing. This book is magnificent.
Review Thank you, NetGalley for a chance to read and review this book! I found this to be a very interesting overview of the different methods available in case you wantedto learn more about divination. I will say that it was fairly short and other methods could have been included to make this a moreContinue reading “Book Review | In Focus Divination by Steven Bright”
Thank you The Write Reads for the chance to read and review Beneath Cruel Fathoms by Angela Deen. Beneath Cruel Fathoms is the first book in her The Bitter Sea trilogy, and is absolutely wonderful! I received this book to read and review as part of the 2021 BBNYA competition and the BBNYAtours organised byContinue reading “Book Review | Beneath Cruel Fathoms by Anela Deen | Book Tour”
I’ve been on a NetGalley binge again! By that I mean I’m trying to improve my percentage just so that I can be approved for the new Ottessa Moshfegh book. That’s the only reason. But this sounded pretty good And I was excited enough to request it from not my netgalley accounts. I was alsoContinue reading “Witch 13 by Patrick Delaney”
ARC Read Dead Girls Can’t Tell Secrets comes out on the 5th of April 2022. I was able to snag an e-arc through NetGalley. It’s not a very long book, at 204 pages, and will be published by Sourcebooks Fire. This sort of YA thriller wasn’t my thing until I read A Good Girls GuideContinue reading “Book Review: Dead Girls Can’t Tell Secrets by Chelsea Ichaso”
So I was bored Which is not all my fault. Ever since I got my booster my sleep cycle has been thrown off and I can’t sleep and I’m angry and mad all the time. I’ve also been aiming to reduce the number of book tours I sign up for, and be more selective withContinue reading “I was bored: NetGalley Edition”
Love can be complicated, but parents even more so. Thank you BOMM and Tessonja Odette for the chance to read and review this book! As I was reviewing my email on this tour, I found out I was supposed to do less of a review, and more of a giveaway post! So because I likedContinue reading “Blog Tour: Kiss of the Selkie by Tessonja Odette | Book Review”
Believing is a different thing than knowing. You’re old enough to know that there aren’t monsters in this world. But you don’t believe that. Not really. You hear a noise in the woods, or see a shadow shaped wrong and you’re still afraid. Comixology is fantastic! I may not have ever been a comics girlContinue reading “Review: Something is Killing The Children”
Honeycomb by Joanne M. Harris I’m reading Joanna M. Harris’s book Honeycomb! It’s a beautiful book; her writing is eerie and the stories feel like fairytales flipped on its head. I opened the book and thought for one moment I’d bought a children book! In other news, I’ve started to pick out books from myContinue reading “What Are You Reading Today?”
Don’t get me wrong, The Dirty Truth is a decent romance novel, but that’s all it is; just decent.
