The Overstory | Richard Powers ~ Books in my #TBRStack

The Overstory by Richard Powers is one of those books that you saw everywhere at a certain point! So of course it went into my #TBRStack!

Welcome to my #TBRStack! I’ll be showing you guys books that are on my bookshelf, but haven’t made it to my pile of finished reads!

An artist inherits a hundred years of photographic portraits, all of the same doomed American chestnut. A hard-partying undergraduate in the late 1980s electrocutes herself, dies, and is sent back into life by creatures of air and light. A hearing- and speech-impaired scientist discovers that trees are communicating with one another. An Air Force crewmember in the Vietnam War is shot out of the sky, then saved by falling into a banyan.

This is the story of these and five other strangers, each summoned in different ways by the natural world, who are brought together in a last stand to save it from catastrophe.

Honestly, I had no real reason to buy this book! I was just going through a phase where I wanted to expand my collection and I bought the hype! The fact that Margaret Atwood seemed to like it was a plus point! Oh, and it was also on the Booker shortlist and won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction!

There have been some really solid reviews on this though! You can check those out right here!

How you can add this to your #TBRStack?

Honestly, at this point, The Overstory should be available anywhere, but I’m going to include some links that I’m absolutely sure about!

Honestly, one of the reasons why I’m adding this section is because I find that it can sometimes be a struggle to find certain books in Pakistan. If this helps you, I’m just happy you supported some really great bookstores! If you live somewhere else, I’m just going to throw in an Amazon link!
